What Is Vascular disease?
Vascular disease is a group of diseases of the blood vessels (arteries and veins of the circulatory system) in which blood flow is disrupted, resulting in disability and even death. Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty that uses minimally invasive catheter techniques to treat diseases in the vascular system, such as arteries, veins, and lymphatic drainage. Vascular surgery, on the other hand, excludes the intracranial and coronary arteries.
What do vascular surgeons do?
Vascular surgeons are Experts who are highly trained to treat diseases of the vascular system. Your blood vessels --arteries carrying oxygen-rich blood and veins carrying blood return to the heart -- are the roadways of your circulatory system. Without smoothly circulating blood, your body cannot function. A situation such as the hardening of the arteries can create “traffic jams” in your circulatory system, disturbing the flow of blood to any organ the body.
When Do I Need A Vascular Surgeon?

  • Running or exercise causes ache or pain in the legs, feet, thighs, or buttocks.
  • Leg pain that never goes away.

  • Diabetes with ulcers or some other foot problems.

Advance Endovascular Treatment
Advanced endovascular surgery is used to treat blood vessel issues including such, but not limited to:
  • Angioplasty: Angioplasty is a minimally invasive technique that is used to open up a blocked vessel. Different types of balloons are inflated and mounted in the blocked region of the vessel. This instantly opens up the blocked artery and improves blood circulation. The patient's suffering is immediately relieved.
  • Stenting: We need to position a stent in several places to hold the vessel open. It's a metallic tube with a tubular shape.
  • Hybrid Procedure: When treating a complex vascular condition that necessitates both endovascular and open surgery. We have a Hybrid OT who can perform both procedures at the same time.
  • Thrombolytic Therapy: When a blood clot blocks an artery or vein, clot lysis is used to improve blood flow.
  • Thrombolysis with a catheter
  • Systemic thrombolysis
